I am not sure what is more beautiful the road to Erie county forest or the hike itself. If you are not hiking/mountaineering/outdoor person this would be one of the options you should explore. The ride itself very scenic , especially in the fall. On the way to the park if you take the country road(which you should), you will come across a range of small hills which look as if an artist has applied pastel colors on the leaves. The drive is smooth and you will come cross over a small town called Holland. I have never been to actual Holland but i believe this is the prettiest town i have visited in the vicinity of Buffalo. The hike itself is not too long but you can easily get lost as the signs disappear and appear every few feet. You are bound to get confused but stick to a path and stop when you don't see a path sign and then try to spot one. If you don't spot one go to the previous one and try to spot one around you.
